IBM Corporate Service Corps

IBM launched Corporate Service Corps (CSC)  in 2008 to help communities around the world solve critical problems while providing IBM employees unique leadership development opportunities.

CSC participants from around the globe spend four weeks in groups of 10 to 15 to help solve economic and social problems of their selected community. Teams work collaboratively with their government and community counterparts to understand how to implement socially responsible business practices with measurable results in a global context.

I am part of "Moroccco 8" - a group of 15 IBMers who originate from Germany, Singapore, India, USA, Egypt, Norway, Canada, Mexico and of course Australia ! We meet on Friday 4th March in Casablanca and that weekend start work on our projects ! It is hard to believe that it is now less than a week until we meet ! We've all been working together since November, with weekly meetings to prepare for CSC Morocco 8.

The program has helped over 140,000 people in emerging economies since its inception.
